Vegeta groaned as Nappa handed him the mission report "so let me get this straight. The lizard wants us to go to a star. not just any star. An abandoned star. Because he believes that there is a possibility that there could be useful resources we could exploit?". Nappa nodded "that's correct your highne-" he didn't get to finish as the prince's fist smashed into the wall "how dare he treat us like lowly scouts. We are elite warriors not his.. his.."
"His pet monkeys" Raditz finished with a sigh, the long haired third class sayain had been found two years after the destruction of their planet, he'd escaped the meteors impact as he was off planet and his pod had been damaged so he was unable to return to the planet as ordered. While Vegeta was pleased there was another sayian left other than himself and Nappa, he wasn't impressed that the only survived they had found was only slightly older than himself and only a third class with a low power level.
Vegeta glared at Raditz darkly "shut up runt" he spat making the other flinch "my apologies your highness". Nappa sighed and pushed Raditz backed a couple for steps "my prince.. maybe we should do this.. Lord Freiza is already angry that we blew up the previous planet"
"They wouldn't hand over the planet that's no fault of ours" Vegeta snarled, this was stupid but Nappa was right, obeying the pompous lizard man was their best option right now.
The prince grumbled the whole way to the pod docks about how stupid the idea was, Nappa and Raditz staying quiet and obediently listening to the young prince. The three sat in their pods, launching and activating the sleep system so that the two month journey didn't feel like it took as long.
As the trio approached the uninhabited star the computer system woke them, allowing them to replenish their nutrient levels with nutrient packs made from genetically modified foods developed to be kept in the pods for long journeys. "We should land in ten minutes" Nappa informed over their scouters.
"The reports say the stars atmosphere is breathable so we have no time limit for our air supply" Raditz added, sending the data to the prince, getting a small grunt in reply.
As the Sayians got closer to the planet Vegeta frowned, spotting what looked like buildings... were those landing bays? On an abandoned star?
