'Hardcore Days and Softcore Nights'
"Don't ever ask me where I go
Last man who asked me had to go
Because if you start askin'
Then I'll be hostile actin'
Don't ever ask me where I go"
They never quite did understand her job. She wasn't your regular FBI Agent.
She got screwed up hours, and they never quite did warm up to the 2am wake-up calls.
She wasn't very open about her job. They were told she worked the 'weird ones'. But never had imagined she'd spend her days coming face-to-face with, quite frankly, some of the ugliest things imaginable.
She seemed to enjoy it. Above everything else.
If her partner didn't call her half-way through the night, she was always bright eyed and bushy tailed each morning, ready for another day of work in the blink of an eye.
Maybe it was the company. They'd never met 'Mulder', but figured he must be something else, if he could get her out of bed with one short sentence, even after a few hours of sleep.
He must have been. When she'd disentangle herself from their sleeping bodies, they'd feel a pang jealousy.
She'd assured them time and time again that 'Mulder' and herself were never and will never be involved.
Most had taken it with grace. She mightn't have been 'involved – involved' with him, but they sure were involved.
She'd never admit it outright, but most of her relationships over the past 6 years had ended because of him.
This 'Mulder' was never directly in the picture, they'd never met him. But he always seemed to be there, his hold never let go of her. Seemingly, not even in the most intimate of moment.
"Don't ever ask me where I go
Because if you start asking,
Last man who asked me had to go."

Ok, so I got a companion piece in mind, let me know if you think I should add it on or not.
Thanks guys,
