Samantha Carter stood alone on a deck of a large white boat, a long bright blue dress accentuating her baby-bump. She was toying with a ring that reflected brightly in the sun's rays; a silver band with twin diamonds. The wind played with her long dark blond hair and she smiled gazing into the setting sun and somewhere in the background, a radio started to play a soft ballade.
It still feels like our first night together
Feels like the first kiss
It's getting better baby
No one can better this
Her eyes watered as she looked down and protectively caressed her belly, smiling at the little feet kicking back.
Still holding on
You're still the one
First time our eyes met
Same feeling I get
Only feels much stronger
Softly swaying to the music, she stared into the distance not noticing the two dolphins following the boat as a single happy tear traveled over her cheek ending at her lips, mingling with the enormous grin.
A soft crack behind her and she turned around, her heart skipping a beat as he emerged, a hand innocently ruffling his grey hair and he smiled at her. An open, loving Jack-grin.
So if you're feeling lonely, don't
You're the only one I'll ever want
I only want to make it go
So if I love you a little more than I should
Please forgive me, I know not what I do
His tanned face made his desert brown eyes stand out as they lovingly gazed at Sam's belly and her hands protecting their unborn son.
Still feels like our best times are together
Feels like the first touch
Still getting closer baby
Can't get closer enough
Still holding on
You're still number one
Never letting his eyes leave her, he walked up to her, taking her hands in his and he kissed her. Again and again. Drawing her against his chest, he softly massaged her lower back as a moan escaped her lips, burrowing her face against his neck. Breathing in his perfume, his unique scent and falling in love all over again with this man. Jack O'Neill, the father of her child. Keeper of her heart.
I remember the smell of your skin
I remember everything
I remember all the moves
I remember you yeah
I remember the nights, you know I still do
The music played on adding to the feelings they shared, showed, gave and absorbed. A soft squeal escaped Sam's lips as she saw in awe how two dolphins jumped out of the water next to them. They always seemed to smile, don't they? Turning in his embrace, Sam pointed toward the playful mammals and all Jack could do was be amazed by the uniqueness of the moment as the two dolphins parted and a small dolphin jumped out of the water and raced to the front of their boat. It was a cliché but as signs go....
The one thing I'm sure of
Is the way we make love
The one thing I depend on
Is for us to stay strong
With every word and every breath I'm praying
That's why I'm saying
Jack covered Sam's hands resting on her belly with his. He felt their son prod and poke against their hands. It was amazing and it took his breath away.
The dolphins turned and continued their own path leaving their amazed spectators behind. Sam tilted her head toward Jack's and felt his lips against her forehead as the butterflies in her stomach made love, trailing goosebumps all over her body. God, she loved him.
I can't stop loving you
