She dropped all the stuff she'd been carrying, they hit the floor with various sounds though none of them broke.
She had an empty feeling in her gut when she looked back a last time at all the objects she held dear.
All the doors around her watched her silently as a lone tear trickled down her cheek, she wiped it off with the back of her hand and managed a thin smile.
She took a silent goodbye of everything, the doors, the stuff, the dreams.
She then raised her hand and pinched herself hard on the ear, everything around her turned into a blur and then it all went black and quite.
She opened her eyes and found herself beneath the cover in her bed, her head resting against the pillow.
She felt determined as she pulled the blanket of and began walking, aiming for the door to the balcony.
The wind outside ruffled her hair lightly and she smiled, she twitched her head and looked back inside, at the door which she never dared open.
This was probably for the best, the only things life had ever given her was the ability to dream, she loved her dreams but it wasn't enough for her.
The world around her had a sombre feeling in air but all she could feel was happiness, she breathed in deeply and relaxed. The corners of her mouth twitched a little, trying to smile but the graveness of the moment kept her from actually doing it.
The mild air flew right through her sweater and she shuddered, no need to drag this out she thought.
She walked up the three steps to a low podium and looked over the edge, she couldn't even see the ground from here.
She took a final breath and let her body fall forward, over the edge, falling to a certain death.
The air whirls around her as the falls lower and lower.
Arms flailing and a scream caught in her throat, her eyes begin to tear and it feels as though the wind is stripping her free of flesh.
The ground rushes up to meet her, in the last possible moment she closes her eyes and smiles with her whole face.
Now begins her biggest journey and longest dream of all, she's finally free.
