Sakura squealed as Asuma lifted her in the air and she wrapped her arms around his neck and he kissed her neck. She blushed as he continued to walk up the stairs to their apartment. As they reached their floor he turned and the door opened and Atsuko ran out, a frazzled Shikamaru, Naruto and Kiba behind her. "Daddy, Mommy!" Sakura's heart clenched at the word. She tried to get Asuma to put her down but he stubbornly refused, and Atsuko clung on to his leg and refused to let go. So straight legged he carried both of them through the threshold. It was only then that he set Sakura down.

Picking up Atsuko he swung her around twice and then hugged her close. She giggled "Daddy." His beard rubbed her cheek and she squealed and began reaching for Sakura "Mommy help me!"

Sakura took the girl from Asuma and snuggled her close, Atsuko wrapped he arms around Sakura's neck as Asuma bid the boys a goodbye. Asuma closed the door and turned to face then they were in his arms and they were in the air "My girls!" Atsuko and Sakura squealed as he sat them on the couch; Atsuko sitting in-between them.

As Atsuko's giggling died down Sakura pulled a box from her pocket and placed it in Atsuko's hands. "We got you this while we were in tea country." Asuma explained.

Atsuko carefully undid the velvet box and squealed as she pulled out a silver locket. "It's so pretty."

Sakura took it from her and opened it "On one side is your dad, you and me and on the other side is . . ."

"Kurenai, my birth mommy."

Sakura nodded "This way you have all of us close to your heart."

Atsuko smiled "I love you daddy, I love you mommy."

Sakura sighed contentedly as Asuma pulled her and Atsuko into a hug. She had her family.
