This is a story me and my cousin are writing her character is Keishi Himura and mine is Yakumo Saito.

Disclaimer: We do not own the character's of Naruto they belong to Masashi Kishimoto, but we do own Keishi Himura, Yakumo Saito, Keiichi Tsuchiya, and Akari Hikaru.

Chapter 1

Deep inside the Leaf Forest of Konaha cousins Keishi and Yakumo set foot outside the ninja academy for the first time as full fledged ninja. With their Sensei Keiichi Tsuchiya and team member Akira Hikaru their journey begins.

Keishi, Akari, and Yakumo all sat outside the Leaf Village main gate awaiting Keiichi to arive. Late as usual.

"Good grief when is he going to show up! Now I can understand how Kakashi's team feels! UGH!"Yakumo says in frustration falling back onto the ground.

Keishi and Akari laugh. The three of them had been friends for the longest time. "I don't know." Keishi said. "But I wish he'd hurry!" Akari laughed and nodded in agreement.

"If he doesn't can we go hunt him down?" Yakumo asks with an evil grin.

Akari laughed. "Nah, he's got to show up sometime. After all, he's the one that told us to meet him here..."

"But it would be fun!" Yakumo whines with a pout.

"No." Keishi states. "He's here anyways." They all stood to greet him.

"Hey Keiichi what took you so long? Whats the excuse?" Yakumo asks eyes narrowed.

"That's Sensei, Yakumo." He said coldly. "we have a mission. Were going to the Village Hidden in the Sand."

"Why?" Yakumo asks.

"Not sure yet, that's just what I was told." He said. Keishi, the team medic, started packing supplies. "I'll be sure to pack lots of water." She said calmly.

"Fine when do we leave?" Yakumo asks grumpily.

"Now." He said before turning and walking towards the forest heading for the Sand Village. Keishi sighed. "Our first mission, and Sensei is already grumpy..." She mumbled. Akari giggled. "Aww, he's not that bad."

"That's what you think. Do you like him or something? Yakumo asks.

"No, what are you talking about?" Akari asked with a clueless look.

"Oh nothing just saying what i see." Yakumo say with a smile.

Keiichi had gotten a little a head of him. He did this during their training to see how they were at following invisible trails, aka, following and finding people. Keishi followed behind Akari and Yakumo, like normal, in case someone needed medical help, water, or a snack.

Eventually they caught up to Keiichi. "Can you tell us any more about the mission or is that all they told you?" Yakumo asks.

"That's all." He mumbled before disappearing ahead of them again. They were almost to the desert portion, but they'd have to camp out over the night that was quickly falling.

Just when they had settled into go to sleep Yakumo jumps up in a panic. "We've got to get to shelter! NOW!" Yakumo said hurrying to get everything packed back up.
