Disclaimer: I don't own Fairy Tail.

Levy McGarden felt her heart thump crazily. She clutched her chest and took in a few deep breaths. Looking up she saw the iron dragon slayer sitting across the guild hall having a drink with Lily.

Levy quickly looked away and tried to calm her nerves. Why did she have to go through such discomfort? What had she done to make her heart pump so quickly. Fear crept it's way into her heart as the mere thought of approaching the dragon slayer made her want to hide away.

How would he react? That was something even more terrifying. Gajeel was very unpredictable but Levy had an idea of how he would react which frightened the poor girl.

"Be brave." she whispered to herself. At the moment, she was thankful Lucy and her team were away on a mission and Mira was at a photo shoot. They would be hounding her for answers if they saw her in such a state. It was embarrassing enough admitting it to herself. Why would she want to tell anyone else?

"Hey, Gajeel. You still owe me money from that bet you lost!" Laxus called from above. Everyone's attention went to Gajeel and Lily, drinks sloshing slightly as they continued to chug down the brown liquid.

"I'll get it on the next job I pick up. Lemme finish my drink first." Gajeel replied. His eyes narrowed in annoyance. Levy gulped. Now wouldn't be the opportune time to confess to him. So she waited.

The minutes dragged by considerably slow and the thought was eating away at her. Her stomach was fluttering with nervousness. No matter what, it wouldn't leave her mind.

When Gajeel finally stood up from his table and headed over to the quest board, Levy decided now was the time. Holding it in any longer just wouldn't do. She supposed it was her fault, reading all those books that always taught her to be honest. Especially with those close to you.

Scared, Levy found herself walking up to Gajeel. Her hair stood on ends, her knees shook, and she shuddered slightly as she moved closer. A hue of red dyed her cheeks.

"What's wrong, Shrimp? Ya don't look good." Levy stopped. Gajeel towered over her and for the first time in a long while, she actually felt intimidated by his height.

"I-I-I-" Levy stuttered. Scolding herself, she looked down. This was not like herself at all.

"Spit it out, I have a mission to go on." he grumbled. Inhaling a deep breath of air, Levy looked up to Gajeel. Their eyes connected and she felt all fear disappear. Now or never, Levy.

"I was the one who broke your guitar!" once the guilty weight was off her chest, fear came back to Levy as she scrambled out the guild doors faster than Happy flying to fish.

"Get back here, Shrimp!"

A/N: So what did you think? Were you fooled or was this totally obvious? Hahaha, I may write a little sequel about Gajeel's reaction... maybe. Thank you for reading! :)
