In the Chinese Federation Consulate, Lelouch had finished hacking into the Britannian Document Library, which C.C. was now casually sifting through.

Geass – An ocular ability that enables its user to manifest his/her greatest desires into the material world. Due to the nature of its effect, the Geass power differs between individuals, making it nearly impossible to counter. It was once believed that direct eye contact with the Geass Eye was required to activate its effects, but that has been proven false on several occasions. It is unknown how this power is obtained, or whether the Geass has any sort of universal weakness.

"What a boring description." C.C. complained. "I hate vagueness." She said, laying casually on a couch with a pizza in hand.

"When people have no idea what they are talking about, or are desperately afraid of something, they wrap themselves in fancy, pretentious descriptions, trying to trick themselves into thinking that they're intelligent; that they understand the situation." Lelouch explained from his desk.

"But in reality, they know nothing?" She asked him.

"Well, something like that." He replied. "They're desperate for control, even if that control is just an illusion."

"Doesn't that sound a bit familiar, Lelouch?" C.C. replied with a smirk.

"Bathe in content if you wish, Witch." Lelouch replied. "It's true that I desire control, and that I desire the truth about my mother, but instead of trying to trick myself into thinking I have control, I'm leading a rebellion to gain it."

"And what if this rebellion is just a fruitless struggle in the grand scheme of things, what if you loose, Lelouch?" She inquired.

"I won't." He said. "You've given me an eye, Geass, and with it, I've created a lie known as Zero, a false identity that sparks the fires of rebellion and reform. The people know in their hearts that Britannia is corrupt and evil, which is why they join Zero Black Knights."

"I see." She smiled. "Zero, and his Geass are only the spark, the ignition, the beginning of a worldwide rebellion. You're planning on having the world's endless supply of manpower, dreams, and anger fight your battle for you."

"An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind, C.C." He said. "But an eye for a lie gives the world a future."
