Heroes

I should call them one-of-a-kind heroes, but this time I'll try to keep a low profile line… so, normal people, with regular but yet dangerous jobs and lives, some of them struggling because they're completely alone, some of them having families but still struggling because for some reason they are in danger, and the rest of the world just doesn't know nor see beyond.

For the family guys, the last kiss, the last hug, the last I love you, the last goodbye, nobody knows when those lasts are going to happen. For the lonelier the last day, the last traffic jam, the last morning cup of coffee with the co-workers, the last early evening doing any hobby at home to keep the mind distracted from the emptiness, or drinking a beer at the corner of some bar with a partner.

Both sides show often tough attitudes towards others, complicated personalities, seem to be the classic workaholics; the routine apparently follows the same pattern every single day, holidays? That's just a dream, work teams become at some point their family, after many years of going through so much in their regular but also dangerous jobs, so the outsiders only see the evident and rush into critics, the glass is too blurry to look what's really inside the mind and hearts of those wonderful human beings I'm referring to, their reasons, motivations, targets and dreams.

The first impression many get of them is normally the wrong one, outsiders don't understand but they make easy conclusions, they forget the values and courage those heroes have, risking their lives and also the lives of their beloved ones for the greater good every day, whatever their job position is or which institution they work for.

I'm done expressing these thoughts on them, I may continue writing later.
