For once, she was still. Quiet. Calm. He brought his hand up to cup her jaw, kissing her red lips and smiling as her hand attached to the back of his head. For a moment, he was content. She hummed softly when their lips parted moments later, both looking each other in the eye with smiles. Her eyes closed and he kissed her neck once before rolling back onto his side, trailing his fingers over her skin.

Her new name. The beginning of their new life together. The embodiment of her absolute commitment to him. He had something similar, but it wasn't as elaborate. It was just the date, on the inside of his right wrist. But it was in her handwriting.

"You're staring again." She smirked, low voice stirring something in him. He looked up as his hand slid up the side of her body.

"Just admiring." He countered, letting her pull her hand away from his chest before she rolled to put her body against his. She took his hand in hers and grinned at him as her face buried into his chest with a satisfied smile.

"I love you, Kaidan." She said softly. He hummed and kissed the top of her head.

"I love you too, Jack."
