"No, no, stop! You can't- I was only inside for five minutes!" a flustered Gilbert shouted as a tow truck whisked his car down the street. "Ugh.. Fuck!" he kicked the hydrant he had parked by.
Of course, today would be the day that he would get caught. His and Matthew's three month anniversary and now he didn't have a car. This would turn out well.
The Prussian sighed and went back into the flower shop to finish buying the bouquet he had picked out for his boyfriend. Being without a car would set his schedule back a bit due to walking from place to place, but he would have to deal. At least he had already gotten a haircut earlier. He checked his watch and sighed, starting his walk to the next point.

Gilbert returned to their apartment just 30 minutes before Matt was supposed to return from work. He set Mattie's favorite stuffed polar bear on the table and had it hold a card with the bouquet laying in front of it. Smiling at how awesome it looked, he went to take a short shower and changed into a suit.
As he finished putting his jacket on, he heard the front door open and close. Gil smiled, listening to Matthew's light footsteps as they moved closer to the table. He heard a small laugh and a slight "aw."

"He did well this month, eh Kuma?" Gilbert snuck out of their room and through the door behind the blonde.

"I'm glad you think so." the Canadian jumped and quickly turned to face the albino, letting out a deep breath as he grabbed his chest.

"Jesus, Gil! I didn't think you were home! Where's the car?"Gilbert laughed and walked up to his boyfriend, grabbing his shoulders and kissing his head.

"Dear Matthew, now's not the time to worry about personal possesions. Why don't you go get dressed and we'll go out to dinner, okay?" the blond smiled up at him and nodded.

"Oh, alright.." as soon as the Canadian left the room, Gilbert facepalmed. He totally forgot about not having a car. How were they supposed to go out tonight? A sudden solution came into his mind and he sighed. It would have to do.

"Gil, why are we walking? Isn't it a bit dangerous when we're dressed like this?" Matthew asked as the couple made their way down the street.

"We won't be walking for long, Matt. I just figured we could use a bit of change, y'know?" Gilbert replied effortlessly. He always knew how to lie through his teeth, but the circumstances and the people he was with often determined if it would work. Mattie was actually pretty smart, though, and often caught onto his counterpart's lies. The albino gave him a short glance. Matthew chuckled.

"Sure." they approached a bus stop and Gilbert took a confident seat under the awning. Matt looked at him, smiled lightly, and sat next to him. They were both quiet for a few minutes. "If it was an accident, I'm just happy you're okay." the Canadian said. Gilbert sighed and took his hand.

"Nein. I parked in front of a hydrant while I was getting you flowers." the blond looked at him and laughed.

"Why didn't you just park down the street? You obviously have no problem with walking." the silver haired man shrugged.

"Y'know, you just get in the hurried mode and all you can think is 'fuck the law, I'm awesome' and then you lose the car." Matthew laughed and leaned against him.

"Okay. At least this is entertaining." Gilbert smiled and kissed him. "By the way, the next bus doesn't come for another thirty minutes."
