For Lack of a Better Title

Fandom: Once Upon a Time
Pairing: Swan Queen
A/N: Going through some tags on Tumblr, I have found a bunch of little bits of writing, tiny stories and drabbles that I didn't even bother with putting up here, but that is changing now.
Emma was the first to break away from the kiss, desperate for air. No matter what she did, she was still breathless. "My heart…" she said in pants, "like I'm the Grinch… It's growing… In here," she pointed to herself a confused sort of frown on her face. "All because of one kiss?" She tilted her head as she stared at Regina.
The darker woman said nothing at first and then, "Merry Christmas, Miss Swan." She then lowered her hand, which held the mistletoe and turned to walk away. Emma grabbed the once mayor's hand and pulled her in so that they were once again chest to chest.
"W-wait," she said. The two of them paused, neither saying a word. Emma searched Regina's eyes but there seemed to be nothing there. "How do I tell you that you're all i want for Christmas?" she asked. She was encouraged by the fact that Regina hadn't fought her, hadn't tried to break free of her. Her hand fell to her side, and a moment later the mistletoe fell to the snowy ground beneath them.
"I believe… That you just did."
"Then please… Don't go away. Don't leave me."
Regina looked at Emma, watching the blonde's lips as they drew in air. "It's uh… It's getting cold out here," Regina finally said.
"Then perhaps I should invite you inside," Emma said, catching on to what the brunette was saying.
"Yes… Perhaps."
"That would mean letting go of you, and I don't plan to do that, you know."
Regina took in a breath and let it out again, breathing fog into the air. She trailed her hand down Emma's arm until it rested in Emma's other hand. her grip tightened, and reluctanly, they parted. "Now you won't have to."
Emma smiled softly at this and she too took a step back. "Please… come inside."
