This was written a few months ago for a prompt. B'Elanna Torres/River Song. Sorry this took a little bit of time. I had to get home and typing on my phone is a bitch.
"This is what it looked like?" B'Elanna asked.
River looked over to her companion. For the day, at least. "What do you think? Better than Tom's hologram?" the curly hair woman asked.
B'Elanna didn't answer for a moment as she heard a Beatles song playing in the background of the shop they were in. She could also hear the chatter of two women who were organizing a rally of some sort, but her friend was more interested in the song, since the Beatles had disbanded three years prior.
"RED ALERT! ALL HANDS ON DECK!"
B'Elanna looked around and then she said, "Let's head back."
"Sure darling," River said. She knew that her companion had little tolerance for such places, preferring the new planets, rather than the past of her own. River loved showing off Earth, though. She didn't have the pleasure of knowing it, though it was the place her parents spent a majority of their lives, and it had something to it that always brought the Doctor back. What other way was there to show someone you love than to show them the second most beautiful thing you know? "At least now you can say that he was wrong. Some men need to be taken down a notch or two every now and then. Or have their annoyingly favorite hat taken away and shot…"
B'Elanna for her part, waited for the older woman to turn around before she ended the holoprogram. She didn't know, why, but she knew that she wouldn't be able to handle the look on River's face if she ever found out that she wasn't real.
