All A Trick
"You'll never get your Princess back, Mario!" Bowser yelled at Mario.
Mario and Bowser were at the top of Bowser's Fortress. Hovering above them was Bowser's main airship.
Bowser jumped up into the ship, and then lowered the anchor. No, that is not a typo. He lowered the anchor. And then swung it around, destroying the fortress. Once most of it had been destroyed, Mario fell with it.
"Bwahahahahaha ha ha ha ha ha!" Bowser laughed.
Mario could of sworn he saw the words "TOO BAD!" fly by him as Bowser flew away as he fell to his doom.

Mario never hit the ground. Instead, he found himself on the back of his green dinosaur friend, Yoshi.
"Yoshi?" Mario asked in his Italian voice. "Mama mia, you-a saved my-a life!"
"Yahooo!" Yoshi said, smiling.
Yoshi was taking Mario to the Mushroom Kingdom. Yoshi wanted to get some rest, so he wanted to drop Mario off somewhere that Mario would be comfortable, before flying off to Yoshi's Island.
The trip took them about two hours. When they got there, Toad was waiting there to see if Mario was okay.
"Mario! Mario! Are you all right?" Toad asked as soon as he got a chance.
"Yes, yes, I am-a fine, thanks to-a Yoshi here," Mario replied.
"Thank goodness," Toad said. "THE PRINCESS! IS SHE OKAY?!"
"I don't-a know. Bowser flew away-a in his-a airship with-a her. It's a long-a story. I'll-a explain-a later," Mario replied. "But-a now we need to-a find-a Bowser."
"Okay," Toad said.
Yoshi then waved and then flew away. Mario and Toad waved back. Then they went into the castle.
The went to the Princess' throne room, and started to think of ideas. They thought of going back to Bowser's Fortress, or what remained of it, anyway, but then they realized that Bowser could be across the Universe from there by then. A few moments after, Mario's brother, Luigi walked through the door.
"Luigi!" Mario said excitedly.
"Hey-a Mario!" Luigi replied. "So I-a heard that Bowser escaped with the-a Princess?"
"Sadly, a-yes," Mario replied.
"Well, I-a think I might-a have something that could-a help us a-find her," Luigi said.
Luigi lead them outside and all the way around the castle. There they saw what Luigi was talking about.
Sitting in front of them was an airship. But not one of Bowser's. It was Luigi's.
"Like it? It's-a called 'The S. S. Toadstool!' "
"Wow!" Mario and Toad exclaimed.
"Well? All aboard!" Luigi said.
And they all walked up the steps to the S. S. Toadstool.
