Joey and Phoebe were in Monica's apartment kneeling at the small coffee table, Joey sat one end and Phoebe at the other. In front of them were small piles of cards.
"Ok Phoebe, your turn," Joey said, carefully watching as Phoebe had her go.
"Ok, now you Joey," Phoebe said, already excited even though the game had only just begun. Joey had his turn and waited for Phoebe.
A few goes later the two were sitting there bored. "How long does it take to win," Joey mumbled. Phoebe shrugged and had her turn again.
"Oh…Oh…"
"SNAP!" Joey shouted.
"Hey!" Phoebe moaned "That should have been mine!"
"I said snap first," Joey replied, taking the cards from the middle of the table.
"Yeah, but I was going to," Phoebe protested. Joy shrugged and placed a card down before glancing at Phoebe.
"Your turn." Phoebe nodded and took a deep breath before turning a card over, growling slightly when it was completely different. Joey smiled and turned over his card which was again completely different.
"Next one's mine Tribbiani," Phoebe said to Joey, almost threatening him.
"Ha. We'll see." Phoebe got ready to turn a card over and shout snap if needed.
She was annoyed when the card was different again. Joey turned over his next card.
"Snap!" Phoebe shouted.
"What? They aren't the same!"
"I know but they go well together," Phoebe replied taking the cards.
At that point Chandler walked in. "Hey guys. What you up to?" He walked up to them and sat down on the chair.
"We're playing snap and Phoebe cheated!"
"Na-uh. They go well together," Phoebe said, showing Chandler the two cards.
"You're playing with picture cards?"
"Yeah…why?" Joey asked.
"Um…nevermind," Chandler said quickly, deciding it was safer not to try and explain. "I have to agree though that those two do go well together."
Phoebe stuck her tongue out at Joey and he sat with a sulky look his face like a five year old.
"So who's winning?" Chandler asked, getting two shrugs in reply. "Ok. Why not make it more exciting?" he suggested. The other two looked at him blankly. "Place money. Whoever shouts out snap first at the right time gets so much of it and whoever wins the whole game gets whatever is left. That way you both have a chance to get some money."
"Oh yeah! Yes let's do that!" Phoebe screamed, flapping her arms around in excitement like only Phoebe does.
Joey nodded his head in agreement, a big grin on his face. The two placed the same amount of money down.
"Ok. One dollar for shouting snap first," Chandler said and began monitoring the game. The two started playing, unable to sit still in excitement.
"Snap!" Phoebe suddenly shouted, taking the cards and receiving one dollar off Chandler who was holding the money for them. "YES! I have a dollar!"
They carried on playing, Chandler watching carefully and giving money when needed. Soon the game ended and Joey got the last of the cards.
"Joey is the winner!" Chandler announced.
"Cool. How much do I win?"
"Um…two dollars," Chandler smirked, giving him the only remaining money.
"YAY! I won an extra dollar to last time," Joey shouted, as if had won millions.
"Wasn't there ten dollars before?" Phoebe questioned causing Chandler to get up and head towards the door.
"Yeah, but I need paying for having sat there and missed half a day at work," Chandler replied, quickly disappearing through the door before anyone could say anything.
Phoebe and Joey shrugged, not seeming to realise exactly what had just happened.
"Another game?"
