I watched her move her tiny feet, as she sat on the back seat of the Impala, smiling, anxious to go to her first ballet class. She didn't notice I was looking through the front mirror. She kept looking at her pink ballet slippers.
I loved how beautiful she looked with her blonde hair pulled up to a pony tail, wide eyed, her long lashes almost touching her eyelids, her beautiful red lips pouted which she often turned into a smile.
"Daddy?" she asked, her voice seemed shy
"Yes, sweetheart?" I asked in return, She was the only one with whom I'd act nicer.
"I'm scared" She said, as she fixed her right ballet slipper which had slightly come off.
"scared? What are you scared of Jay?" It was ballet, I didn't understand how ballet could scare her in any way.
"Don't leave" She said, but she couldn't even stare straight to my eyes.
I took a deep breath and by that moment we were already there. I pulled over and turned around.
"I would never leave" I smiled, as she turned to me and smiled back.
I got out of the car, and as she knows, she always waits for me to open the door for her. I opened the car door and carried her to the entrance; Remembering I had some hunting to do, but I had promised I wouldn't leave.
I then held her closer to the ground as she held my hand, then lead me inside.
I could hear the pattering from her small ballet slippers as she walked inside, her finger tips where about to let go from mine. But I couldn't tell the reason of what she had said before.
I didn't want to let go of her hand, but she moved hers away from mine then turned to me, a wide smile forming on her face near her cheeks.
