She couldn't believe it had taken her so long to figure it out!

She was supposed to be a star reporter, for God's sake!

A hand, a touch, all of those encounters ... and it took a kiss for her to finally connect the dots?

Everything made sense now, though. She couldn't believe she hadn't seen it sooner ... but, in a way, now that she thought about it, she kind of had seen it. The signs had all been there, available for her - for anyone - to see. She just hadn't really put them all together until now.

Maybe a part of her had even been reluctant to try ... No. She quickly squashed that thought.

It had all just been an oversight. A simple matter of that old - and apparently true - saying.

Hindsight really was 20/20, she realized.
