A/N: This takes place a little after Heart's Desire. This is in no way another part of Merlin/Morgana, this is just about the others mostly.
Freya headed to the castle, her hands hurted from carrying the bucket all they way to the water ducts, but she needed to give fresh water to Gaius. She had to do this, it was her only job.
As soon as she was done, she headed to Morgana's room, where Gwen and Morgana were practicing magic in secret.
"Oh my god, you scared me!" Morgana said, and Gwen nodded, a hand in her heart.
"I'm sorry." Freya did feel sorry, but she found it all too funny. "Here, come on."
"Good, let's pick a nice dress for the banquet." Morgana nodded, her attention now on her wardrobe.
Freya sighed. The lady Morgana had tons of dresses, she really couldn't see how this was going to be an easy choice. They were all so 'nice'.
Gwen placed a hand gently on Freya's shoulder and smiled sweetly. "It gets better as the years pass." She confided.
Freya nodded, though she didn't much believe it.
They were soon done, and with all the preparations ready, Freya and Gwen were told to go help the people in the kitchens. Freya had gotten used to all the work. Nothing hard anyway, but she liked to be ready.
"You okay?" Gwen asked.
Freya nodded. "Let's do this."
It was not a secret to Gwen, that Freya felt really conscious about the banquet that night. She had done help in small settings, but never in big places like that, It was too much for her to bear.
Luckily for her, she was doing a good job, and before she knew it she was done with it all. She was sure she would sing hooray when she went to Lady Morgana's chamber and found Merlin there, and kissing Morgana.
"I am so sorry!" Freya gasped and quickly left before Morgana or Merlin could say anything.
She ran outside into the open air and breathed in as to just settle her nerves. She was just so stupid. She had gotten so used to taking liberties around Morgana that she had forgotten to knock in the first place. It was no use to say that she was very, very sorry.
Leon found her like that, mentally slapping herself silly and with no way to make it all better.
"You ran into them too?" Leon asked straight off the bat.
Freya looked at him, not sure what to say.
"I caught them last week. In a spare room." He sighed and shook his head. "I don't think I'll ever really be able to get over how much I care about her."
A slight twinge of jealousy reached her, but pushed it away quickly.
"Morgana's pretty, and I can understand why you like her, but she loves him. It's better to just let it go." As soon as Freya said this she noticed that Leon looked hurt. "It's for the better." She said, now riddled with guilt.
Leon nodded his head and walked away.
There was no reason for her to be so mean to poor Leon. Of course he had started it all.
Freya sighed. Not true, she was jealous and hurt, but they were both her friends. More Morgana then Merlin, Freya honestly did not know how to approach him in a way that didn't push her well-put up boundaries.
Everyone knew that you were never supposed to befriend an old lover. It was like a law. With her thoughts more confused than before, Freya sighed once again. Resigned that it would ever get better.
She could try to make it better, but it was really not going to be that easy at all.

I wanted to do a take on how Freya was dealing with Merlin and Morgana's relationship. Poor dear. :(
