There are no happy-endings,

Fairytales do not exist.

There is no prince to save you,

By just being kissed.

There are no magic-shooting stars,

That grant wishes for you.

There is no fairy-godmother,

That you can just run to.

There are no magic carpets,

That can whisk you away.

These are only silly dreams,

That lead you astray.

Reality is what is truthful,

There is no escaping it.

The magic I used to believe in,

Keeps dimming bit by bit.

I used to believe,

In magic and folklore.

I used to hope for another world,

Behind a closed door.

But as my eyes began to open,

I saw that magic was only lies.

There are no happy-endings,

Just more lies in disguise...
