People always seemed to wish for great things in life to happen to them. They wanted to be actors, or models, or they wanted to be rich enough to be able to afford whatever they could possibly want. They read manga, watched television shows, and played video games wishing they could be the hero in the story. They looked at people that seemed to have more exciting, more dramatic lives then they had and wished for the same things. People never wanted to be ordinary. An ordinary life was a boring life.
Usagi had been guilty of the same thing. She could remember those long ago days when she had been a little girl pretending to be a princess of a far off land, or even when she had pretended to be a super hero in some childish game with her brother. Usagi could even remember months ago when she had seen the posters of Sailor V and thought how exciting it would be if she could be the heroine.
Now she stood alone against Metallia, her friends and even Endymion lost in the battle already, and she wished with all her heart that she was only an ordinary girl. Usagi would give anything if she could be the girl she was before any of this had ever happened. The innocent girl that hadn't seen the things that stood in the dark, hadn't lost her best friends to those same creatures. The girl that hadn't had to fight against the man that she loved more then life itself. The girl that hadn't finally won her love back again only to lose him to death moments later.
Usagi desperately wished that she had none of those memories. That she could be only an ordinary 14 year old girl in 8th grade, but she wasn't. She was far from ordinary. She was Sailor Moon. She really was a princess from a far away kingdom. The heroine that had to stand against the evil that threatened to take over the Earth.
In some far away corner of her mind Usagi found it ironic that she had received the exciting life that she had wished for and now only wanted to be ordinary.
