Ok, so this is a short drabble is to express Pearl emotions when Rose announce she's pregnant with Steven. I always wanted to try getting the hang of Pearl's more complex emotions so.. here you go.

I DO NOT OWN STEVEN UNIVERSE

This must be a joke.

Some cruel sick joke.

If Pearl has a heart it would have broke into a billion pieces. Surely this was some kind of sick joke right!? Rose... her Rose would never think of getting pregnant with that... that human.

"Rose if this is another human joke it's really not funny."

Rose only grinned and started to rub her stomach. Pearl could see a bump starting to form.

"No Pearl, it's true. Greg and I decided that this was what we wanted. I know I should have mentioned it to you all first but..."

This wasn't a joke.

Rose was really going to give birth to a human child. While, Pearl had limited knowledge on human's and their culture she does know that child are often a product of "love." She had always imagined her and Rose being able to perfect Rainbow Quart to show how deep their connection was. Clearly, that was nothing more than a pipe dream now. Pearl had never felt so repulsed in her entire life.

"Rose how can we get rid of it?'

This had caused Rose to stop rubbing her stomach and give a stern look at Pearl. Usually Pearl would have stopped b whatever she was thinking and apologize to the former diamond... but not this time. Not about this.

"Pearl please understand... I will not get rid of my child."

Pearl just stared at the ground and started to tremble. She was so focused on keeping her calm she barely noticed Rose was still talking.

"I know how you feel about Greg..."

How could she not? Pearl had made it very clear to Greg that he would just end up being another one of Rose's phase. Turn's out she was wrong.

"...but Steven is going to need..."

Oh god. She had already named it.

"... please my Pearl..."

That was it.

"BUT WHY? Why would you have...this...this... THING with Greg anyway!"

Pearl couldn't stop the river to tear's coming out.

"How could you even choose him! He lives such a short insignificant life! He's done nothing but separate us since the moment he's got here! HE WAS JUST SUPPOSED TO BE A PHASE!"

All of that built up anger was finally coming out. She always knew the beautiful pink quartz would never love her back as much as she loved her. All of those pathetic human lover Rose had would always die out and she would have Rose for herself...how could she lose her to some human?

"You shouldn't even be able to birth a human child! They only way for that to happen is if you..."

Pearl suddenly stop her shouting and looked up at Rose. She saw Rose nod confirming what she was about to say.

All Pearl could do was run out of the temple never looking back.

This had to be a joke.
