Fred Weasley II was not going to be out done by his annoying cousin James Potter II. He couldn't stand him. Fred II had no idea why anyone liked him at all, and secretly, Fred II thought it was because Uncle Harry made them. Uncle Harry was cool, so how he managed to have James Sirius was still a mystery. Al and Lily were fine, but it was the oldest Potter that bugged him.
Everyone thought that James II and Fred II would be best friends, and at first, James II really tried. But something about James II annoyed Fred II so much, he couldn't be friends. They were even born on the same day, April 1, and James was older by 5 hours, simply another thing that people said they had in common. HE HAD EVERYTHING IN COMMON WITH JAMES POTTER II. NO, NOT JAMES POTTER II HAD EVERYTHING IN COMMON WITH HIM, FRED WEASLEY II. Fred II figured that since his dad and his dead Uncle Fred were pranksters, people would fear him, in a good way of course. But nooooo, James Sirius Potter had to have basically more. His namesakes were 2 of the Marauders. The freaking Marauders. His dad and Uncle Fred had idolized them. And it wasn't even that they were his namesakes, James Potter I was James II bloody Grandfather.
No matter what he did, Fred II couldn't win. His little sister Roxanne preferred James' II company over his. And he knew that his father did too. There was something about James II that everyone loved, and for the life of him, Fred II did not understand.
"Freeeed!" Roxanne shouted, "Hurry up, we're going to Uncle Harry's and I heard James was going to be home and not at Halee's!" Halee was another reason Fred II hated his cousin. Halee Finnegan was the beautiful, red haired, blue eyed, fully Irish daughter of Seamus Finnegan. She was Fred's II best friend, and she used to hate James II as much as he did. Until about 5th year, James II had been hopelessly crushing on her. Halee had shown nothing but contempt for him which made Fred II extremely happy. For once in his life, he Fred Weasley II, actually got something James II didn't. He heard his Aunt's and Uncle's laughing about something called the 'Potter Curse'. When he asked his dad, George had explained it. James II was destined to fall for a red head and eventually marry her. Stage 1 was already complete. Now all Halee had to do was fall in love with James II back. Not that Fred II was in any way rushing that. Since, as you can imagine, Fred II had a crush on Halee Finnegan as well, not that she knew that of course.
But it was there, and he nearly cried when Halee finally said "Yes," Fred II always thought she liked him. And he wouldn't admit it even after he was blue in the face, but James II and Halee were really well matched. They complimented each other. James II was spontaneous and liked mischief. Halee was calm, sophisticated, beautiful, smart, and overall, simply stunning. And James II got her. They were Hogwarts' it couple. Everyone wanted a relationship that was as cute as James Sirius Potter and Halee Addison Finnegan's.
"FRED!" Roxanne's voice was impatient, "COME ON! I WANT TO SEE JAMES, AL, AND LILY! YOU'RE HOLDING UP MY PARADE!" Fred II muttered a not so nice thing about James II and stormed down the stairs to find Roxanne glaring at him. "Bout time," she huffed. Fred II's mother, Angelina, held out some Floo powder. Fred II took it reluctantly and shouted, "Grimmauld Place!" His vision went green and when the world finally stopped spinning, Fred II focused solely on one person. Halee Finnegan was in Grimmauld Place. Making out with his cousin.
