Their lips pressed tight together in the afternoon heat. Bloom felt his lips grasp and twist hers into a sweet grimace, and she was dizzied. His muscled arms wound around her slim waist like determined snakes, securing her so close to his body that it hurt. The pain in her chest caused Bloom to choke, and for this she was lucky. Her eyes snapped open as she tried not to cough into his mouth, and in a quick moment, she saw Musa thundering across the courtyard towards her.
Bloom pushed Riven from her body as Musa approached.
