She sat in her office going over the numerous documents that lay before her. All of her efforts were beginning to shine as someone, besides Quatre, who saw fit to donate to the cause of the Mars project. The idea was more or less to colony the planet so that mankind could continue to grow and branch out as a species. Of course it hit a couple of snags along the way and then there were those who just held out and at the end would donate some insulting small amount so that could brag about their contribution. She groaned in frustration as she raked her face with fingers in hopes that when she was done the paper work would disappear. Sadly enough when she opened her eyes the stack seem to grow instead of disappear.

"Miss Relena, would you like some tea," an elderly gentleman asked as he entered her office.

The distraction made the woman smile. "That would be lovely Pagan, thank you." The elder chuckled knowing she could use a break. "Just remember you don't work for me anymore," she chided her longtime friend and former butler.

"Very true however I think of you as my grandchild so it's my job to spoil you," Pagan said smiling before walking off to the kitchen to prepare their tea. She had hired him at first when she moved out of her dearly departed father's home. Now she had hired help for Pagan since he was getting into his later years. He returned with tea for two and the two reminisced and shared their happy times as they strolled through memory lane.

"And then Heero..." Relena continued until she said that name. Memories of the gundam pilot were always bittersweet. Pagan frowned as this become part of the norm for the woman he considered family. He uttered something before excusing himself to leave her to her thoughts. It wasn't too long before she got a call from Quatre which brought back a smile to her face, although it was a forced one. The former queen of the world never had the heart to make that former gundam pilot suffer because he too had things that haunted him. That and his empathetic heart would probably be the death of him one day.

"Hi Miss Relena, I was wondering since I'm going to be in the area next week that we get together and have dinner sometime." The blonde middle eastern man said.

Relena smiled and politely accepted knowing it was probably some excuse to get her out and have the company of the others. Everyone except the boy who claimed he would kill her and later went to protect her. Even now the bear she got after the Eve Wars watched her from its corner and no matter how hard she tried he was always just one thought away in her mind. "Heero..." she muttered dejectedly before getting back to work so he would be just a memory to her again.
