A/N: Written for the RH drabblefest.
Title: Back
Characters/Pairings: Djaq, Will, Will/Djaq
Prompt: Djaq/Will; atonement
Will felt it was some kind of atonement. The blow from Robin had come unexpected and the bruise on his face was still painful, but he guessed he deserved it after he had risked all their lives by poisoning the sheriff – even though he wasn't the traitor the punch had ostensibly been aimed at.
By nightfall he would be back with the gang and they would know the truth.
And when the time came, the one he really owned atonement to received him with open arms and without angry words, none ever having come since he had opened that door.
Title: Ultimatum
Characters/Pairings: Marian, Robin, Much, Edward, Marian/Robin
Prompt: Marian/Robin; ultimatum
"Leave," she said, raising the bow higher.
"We are leaving," Much stated, but Robin stood nailed to the spot.
"This is my last word," Marian still had the bow trained at him, Edward at her side.
Robin was still smiling, happy to see her, happy to see her unmarried.
She wasn't quite feeling the same though, or was she?
"I won't miss," she warned him again.
He chuckled. "I just came home from war and you want to shoot me at your door step?"
"Leave!"
"I just came back!"
Why wasn't she happy that he was back alive and-?
"This is my last word!"
"I'm sure it's not!"
Title: Plan
Characters: John, Allan, Djaq, Much, Robin, Will
Prompt: Outlaws; happydance
"This, I do not like."
"Forget it," Allan shook his head.
Djaq's expression said more than many words.
Robin sighed. "I have this plan-"
"Master, no!" Much refused decisively.
Robin looked desperate. "Will?"
"We could use the instruments again?" the young man suggested carefully.
Robin smiled.
"But we're not going to dance," Will added.
"It's just a pretence!" Robin assured them, waving his arms in impatience.
"A dance group at the castle? The guards are never going to fall for that," Much shook his head.
There was silence.
"It might work," Djaq offered.
"I will not-" John started, but Allan laid an arm around the other's broad shoulder.
"We'll be awesome in step."
Title: Castle Games
Characters: Guards
Prompt: Guards; left behind on the trip to Acre
Ed was excited. Today was the first day of the Castle Games, organised by a number of dedicated castle guards. The idea had come up after they had all nearly died of boredom these last few months.
The sheriff was away. The Master-at-Arms was away. Even the outlaws in Sherwood seemed to have vanished, for nothing ever happened. The first few weeks the guards had just enjoyed the new peace in their lives. But then it had become monotonous.
Ed's friend Fred then had the ingenious idea. And who could stop them? Sword-fighting, archery, hang-gliding and competitive drinking were just some of the disciplines.
Ed grinned as he watched a few more bones being broken in what he hoped would become a grand tradition of games at the castle.
And as the day drew to a close, he accepted his own very special Lady-Marian-Award in knife-throwing.
If only the sheriff knew that they had used his expensive chair as the target.
