'So, it's settled then,' Alice declared, 'we're having a pool party tonight!'
'where?' Lily responded critically.
'The Room of Requirement of course!' Alice said in a 'duh' sort of tone.
Hestia and Mary nodded in agreement. 'Come on Lils, it'll be fun!' Hestia tried as she saw her best friend's doubt.
'Yeah, it'll be just us girls, and it's not as we'll be breaking any rules!' Alice exclaimed.
'A little louder Leesh, I don't think the Giant Squid heard you.' Lily said sarcastically.
'Haha, here's a napkin to wipe the sarcasm of your face.' Mary responded, 'Now, stop your fretting, we'll just morph our little party into a sleepover, that way there's no need for us to out after curfew!'
'All right I'm in,' Lily said, 'I'll see you guys on the seventh floor at eight?'
'Perfect, don't forget your swimsuit and PJ's Lily, we'll take care of everything else!' Hestia said.
'We better get to class, two more hours of paying attention and then we're free for two weeks!' Alice said, 'See you Lils!'
'Bye, eight, don't forget!' Lily said as she left for Ancient Runes, the only class she didn't have with her friends.

As the other three girls left their seats on the great staircase in the Entrance Hall, talking excitedly about the coming party, they didn't notice two guys with identical grins apearing out of thin air.
The two boys, who were in fact James Potter and Sirius Black, hurried back into the Great Hall to tell the other Marauders, as the four of them called themselves, about the conversation they just heard.

'Why are you two smiling?' Remus asked warily, thinking about all the times he'd seen those smiles before.
'Well Moony, let's just say you won't be studying tonight!' Sirius said secretively, looking around to see if anyone was eavesdropping. James sighed at his friend's antics and smiled mischievously at Remus before answering,
'We've got a party to crash!'
