A.N.- What can I say? I was bored. I was tired. I was feeling creative...though not creative enough to make it that worth reading so please review to inspire me to write somethin' decent!

In the Moonlight - Drookit duck

She stood quietly in the moonlight,

The breeze blowing her long auburn-red hair

about her shoulders.

She looked down at her black attire,

at the grass beneath her feet

that the moon had drained of all colour.

And she sighed.

A silent, solitary tear crept down her cheek.

Spike was not there.

The breeze was dying now.

The deadly stillness of the cold night set in

in its absence.

It was so quiet.

Nothing moved, nothing breathed

Not even she,

for she had no need nor desire to do so.

Everything was still and cold and dark.

He wasn't with her.

All was dark, except for the small orb in the sky.

Even the stars themselves paled next to it.

It had an eerie beauty,

a quality that she was all too familiar with.

The solitary tear had embedded itself in her shirt

It left a dark patch on the dark material.

Black on black.

Dead on dead.

And still the moonlight

drained the colour from everything else.
