''Four,'' she croaks. I knelt down beside her, fear coursing through me. No. No. "Tobias," she croaks again, using my real name.
''No, no. You'll be all right. You'll be okay. You will.''
She shakes her head. ''No. I'm dying. I'm dying, Four, Tobias, and you know it.''
I look at her. My brave, brave Tris. ''Tris,'' I say. She looks me in the eyes.
''Tobias, I-" she coughs. ''I...'' She coughs again. I grip her hands. She holds my eyes, my gaze. ''Tobias, I-" Another cough. ''I love you, Tobias,'' She finally whispers.
''I love you too.'' One of her hands drifts down to her stomach.
''No,'' I whisper, tears sliding down my face. ''No. No, no, no, no, no! Please, no!" She gives me a small smile. ''I'm sorry," she says quietly. Tears still falling, I press my lips to hers. She kisses back. It feels perfect. Or, would- if she weren't dying.
I pull away reluctantly. ''Tris.''
She shudders. ''Four,'' she says, before the light goes out of her eyes, her body goes limp, and her hand in mine slackens.
''No! No! No! No. NO!'' Tears fall again. I can't stop them. And I don't want to. I remember, I remember all those times.
''Tris,'' she decides firmly. ''Tris,'' Lauren decides, smiling. ''Four, make the announcements!" ''First jumper-Tris!"
Tris, her hands on my waist, holding me.
Her soft lips on mine, happiness, happiness coursing through me.
All those times.
I press my lips to Tris's. ''I love you Tris. I do.'' I hug her lifeless body, still crying, sobbing. I look in her lifeless, cold dead eyes. I'm still gripping her hand.
''Tris,'' I whisper, crashing down and sobbing, pulling her to me.
''Tris.''
Okay, I know this is SUPER sad. I don't usually write things like this. At all. But I couldn't help it. I hope you like it, please review! It literally -seriously!- makes my day.
One more thing. I'm going to publish a Divergent story from Four's pov, so can you check it, out, please? It might not be out when you read this, but check anyway, please. And review. I NEED feedback to survive. Or I'll die.
Really. (Okay, not literally. But you know...) And I'm typing this on a kindle, so there might be mistakes. I've checked this a quadrillion times, but still. ALSO, I know his name is Tobias, but I'm going to do a story called Tobias for the Animorphs books. I didn't want them confused.
