Plot Synopsis: This takes place during episode 17. Locus frees Carolina and she's extremely grateful to Locus. Spoiler free.
"Are you here to kill us?" Agent Washington of the now dead Project Freelancer asked. Locus sighed in annoyance "I get that a lot." Locus freed the two of their armor lock and gently placed them both down against the wall. Wash cracked his neck and sighed in content at being able to move again. Carolina was suspicious of Locus but kept her mouth shut until Washington said "what have you been up to, big guy?" Carolina replied before Locus "what my delusional friend is trying to say is what the hell are YOU doing here?!"
Her voice cracked at the end due to her feeling weak, tired, hungry, dehydrated, and most of all... scared. She was so scared that no one would save them but someone did. Locus replied with "I was following the Blues and Reds because they stole a power source from a Refugee camp." Carolina said "so, charity work then?" With a hint of rudeness in her voice. Locus simply said "no." Carolina tried to stand up, weakly she got to her feet. Her legs were shaking with the effort from standing. Locus noticed this and said "you shouldn't be standing."
Carolina ignored him and weakly shuffled over to him. She did the very last thing Locus expected her to do. She hugged him, actually, more like collapsed into him once she was close enough. Locus caught her and she wrapped her arms around him tightly. "Thank you." Carolina's voice choked up. "Thank you so much, we thought we were going to die." Locus stood there awkwardly with his arms in the air. Washington started singing like an immature child due to his hallucinating "Locus and 'Lina sitting in a tree K-I-S-S-I-N-G." Locus glared at Wash "enough, Agent Washington."
Wash remarked with "yes dad." Locus gently pushed Carolina off of him and placed her back in a sitting position. "We need to get out of here and find the Reds and Blues." Locus ordered to the two. Carolina coughed "Locus, thank you again for saving us." Locus sighed "don't mention it. Seriously don't."
Well? How was this one-shot? Good? R&R!
