"Sonic, how could you do this to me?" Miles "Tails" Prower asked. For years, he and his boyfriend, Sonic the Hedgehog had been going out. But now, Sonic had just finished explaining how he was leaving Tails for someone else.
"I'm sorry, little buddy." Sonic replied. "I just see something in him that I just don't see in you."
"Just who is this guy Sonic?" Tails was trying to fight back tears. "Who is this guy who 'has something you don't see in me'?"
"His name is Crash. Crash Bandicoot."
Sonic saw the tears in Tails' eyes. He felt very bad for confessing to this so suddenly, but he knew it was best to get it out of the way before Tails found out himself. Before Tails lost his temper, Sonic left the house. Leaving Tails behind to cry.
Tails still couldn't believe this was really happening to him. He lay in his bed, and promised to get revenge on Sonic one day. One day very soon.
Meanwhile, Sonic was at Crash's house.
"I told him everything." Sonic explained to Crash. "There's nothing left for me to hide from him now."
"Woah." Crash remarked. "That probably took some guts. I'm proud of you, Sonic."
Sonic blushed. This was why he liked Crash more than Tails. Because of how kind he was to him. Tails rarely complimented Sonic, and he appreciated how Crash did.
"Poor guy." Crash said. "He probably didn't take kindly to what you had to say."
"Oh he didn't all right." Sonic let out a sigh. "He burst out into tears after I told him. But I feel better to have gotten that off of my chest."
They both sat in silence for a while, until Crash finally spoke up.
"How about we do something to take our mind off of it?" he asked.
The two then proceeded to watch a movie on TV, but Sonic still couldn't get the image of Tails crying out of his head.
"Are you okay, Sonic?" The sound of Crash's voice took Sonic out of this thoughts. "Still thinking about Tails, huh?"
"Yeah. I'm really sorry." Now, it was Sonic who was crying. "I shouldn't have told him so soon! Why did I do this to him?!"
"Sonic. Listen to me." Crash had a serious tone in his voice as he spoke. "You did the right thing, okay?"
Crash began to rub Sonic's shoulder. This made Sonic feel a little better.
"Thank you, Crash." He said. "I couldn't ask for a better boyfriend." He smiled.
While he felt better, he knew that soon, he would have to face Tails and apologize. That day however, wasn't today.
