A/N: Happy Valentine's Day! Thought I'd do a Basch Balthier story finally. This is for you Grey-kun! Hope you like it, and sorry about being so late about bringing it out. I know I said only like two days, and almost a month or two has past. Sorry, but I hope this'll do. I revised it so many times I just went "Screw it" and wrote a little one shot bit! It's short but I think acceptable.

Basch didn't like people he couldn't trust. If he didn't have faith in a person, he tried his best never to associate with that person. If he had no choice but to deal with that person because of some dire circumstance, he would suck it up and work with them until their job was done, then leave and hope never to see them again.
That fact was what made Basch so surprised at his own actions as he made love to the one person aboard the Strahl he did not place his trust in.
Just the fact the man was a sky pirate was enough to make Basch distrust the man. In Balthier's profession, stealing, lying, trickery, it all came like it was second nature and Basch new half of the time the brunette's suave words were laced with deception and lies. Laced as well with the distinct accent of Arcadia, those who were Dalmasca's enemy.
But by the Gods, he felt his whole body shiver when that voice, Arcadia to hell, moaned his voice.
"B-Basch~"
The touch of Balthier's warm fingertips on his bare, scarred back contrasting with the coldness of his brightly colored rings. Those hands running through his blonde hair. His usual overperfect brown locks messy and damp with perspiration, his surprisingly soft skin blushing heavily.
Basch caressed his lover's cheek tenderly before planting soft kisses down his jawline and neck. Balthier's hot breath grazed his skin.
He had no trust in Balthier, as a companion. Him being a pirate, he half-expected him to sudden take off in the Strahl, never to be seen again, probably taking all their money, treasures, and valuables with him. But yet he had entrusted Balthier with his heart. The paradox was quickly pushed to the back of his mind as both their bodies shook with ecstasy.
A/N: The Ultimate Final Fantasy Battle Melody on Youtube kept me going. Managed to do this all really quickly that I'm so surprised. I know it's short, but I like it.
