A/N: I got the inspiration last night and spent an hour writing and refining this. It uses the tune of the song Let It Go in the film Frozen, but it has a completely differentmood? Whilst Elsa is reaching the first peak of her icy-powers' usage, Akkarin's heart rate line hath finally touched the x-axis. (I know nothing of heart rate chartsI just thought of this when contemplating my math homework on quadratic functions.

Also, though this can be read as a poem, the effect is better if you sing it after listening to the original song. XD

Please review! :D

Disclaimer: I do not own The Black Magician Trilogy, nor do I own the song Let It Go in Frozen.

Let It Go

The blade is buried in deep I know

I should have seen it coming

Kariko taunts our foolishness

So cruel so right so cunning

My love kneels by me

Hands fluttering and terrified

Couldn't teach her enough

Heaven knows I tried

Bear it all, let them be

Think that you can best them all and finally be free

Fool yourself that you can both live though―

But now it's not so!

Let it go, let it go

Don't let her try to Heal

Let it go, let it go

Don't loose your nerve and reel

I can't let

Them take what I've fought

For all these years

And I'll be free of all my fears…

Oh how every word

Hurts both of us so much

I hope one day she'll understand

Why I said to her such

It's time to tell her what to do

Move your lips and lead her through

Then it's time to play my part and

I'll be free…

Let it go, let it go

Don't watch how she strikes back

Let it go, let it go

Give her all the power you have

Let it go

It's the only way

Let me die this way…

My power flows into her through her pale hands

I feel my vision darkening and yet Kariko still stands

Everything turns black and I so want to go back

But I'm never going back, the past is in the past!

Let it go, let it go

Feel her touch just once more

Let it go, let it go

Embrace the darkness like before

I'm ready

After all these years

I've done my part

And now I'll be free of all my fears…

A/N: I actually cried when writing this; please review!
