b e g i n n i n g s . . .
Just a short drabble, about two hundred and seventy-four words. Sasuke wonders about the birds and the bees...Well more like the flowers in this case. To commemorate the upcoming Spring or at least kill the plot bunnies that bite so deeply at my heels. Hopefully, you will get the metaphors...? No pairings really. Last words: Reviews are very lovely...if you can, please do...?

He never liked cherry blossoms.
As beautiful as they were from afar. Hanging loosely onto a strong branch and adored by evergreen leaves.
He could never love them as much as they should be loved.
Because he would only bruise them with his cold glares and hurtful insults.
He would only tarnish their pure beauty with his tainted hands.

He could never love them.
Nonetheless like them to any extent.

He never liked dandelions.
They were annoying things really. Their crisp yellow color and ruffles of neverending petals.
Attracting attention wherever they sat yet it wasn't like they were beautiful or anything. No.
Not compared to cherry blossoms.

They were annoying almost.
With their persistency to pop up almost everywhere he went.

With their perpetual determination to thrive even in the coldest conditions.
They managed to bloom through the rocky cracks of his heart and make their name known.
He almost grew fond of them. Almost.

They feared not of his touch. Standing defiantly as his fingers ran over the sunny surface.
They knew not to shrink whenever he yelled at them. They did not know that they had to writher away when he was angry at them.
Because they had too much pride, too much optimisism in them to give up so soon.

Too much conviction to turn back and wilt away to nothingness.
Because all their life, they learned to deal with the rude attitudes, and the cold glares.

He couldn't hurt them. Not anymore.
And maybe...maybe that's why he grew so attached to them. Grew so tender to them.
He never liked cherry blossoms.
Not as much as he liked dandelions.
