This came up randomly after talking to friend about The Eye, Elizabeth's PoV and even though I wrote it with one ship in mind you could bring your own ship pretty much.

Does you life flash before your eyes ?
Right before, when you're sure you're going to die?
Do you see everything, how it was meant to be?
All the mistakes magnified.
Regret, sorrow- amplified.
What do
you see?
In those
frozen fearful moments
Filled
only by the sound of the angry sea
And his
desperate pleas
What you
wanted to be all those years ago
And what
you became; what you are
Was it the
same and do you care?
Because
they say it all becomes crystal clear
Thoughts
set in place, no room for doubt
Except
that you wonder
That you
wish it could all be different
And now,
standing there, what do you want?
If you had
a chance to change.
Half a
life given back; bargained.
What is it
that you miss?
A guilt
because it's not what you always thought
Not who
you should long for in this daze
Does you
life flash before your eyes ?
Yes.
Maybe.
What I
want it to be; in the future taken away from me.
Just a
second to see
Just a
second for life to be over
Just a
second for life to be back
A hope
revived, body breathing again
A relief;
And a fear
too, in anticipation
Of time to
make it real.
