A/N. Well I've been gone from the DQ world for a while (have instead ventured to Shrekland for a wee bit

I have an odd fondness for this song (it was the first one I learnt to play on my guitar.). This story contains Jarda. (only a little admitably)

I do not own DQ (which belongs to Emily Rodda or Undiscovered.(which belongs to James Morrison ) And of course Jarda only belongs to Homesweethomicide13 :)

Undiscovered

Barda walked confidently down the hallway.

He had been playing through several scenarios in his head, and the majority turned out fine. Well... four in five of them turned out fine...

I look at you; you bite your tongue
you don't know why or where I'm coming from.

Doom was talking to Jasmine at the foot of the staircase.

Barda summoned the courage he had learned during his years as a guard, took a deep breath... and hid behind a wall.

He couldn't do it.

And In my head I'm close to you
we're in the rain still searching for the sun.

He couldn't explain it, but recently he had felt... odd.

Everyone assumed he and Lindal were an item, but they'd never gone beyond a small peck on the cheek, Barda just didn't feel any attraction.

With Doom, It was the other way round.

You think I wanna run and hide
I keep it all locked up inside

Barda peered from behind the wall.

I just want you to find me.

He'd told Lief, who had sworn to secrecy.

Lief had seemed quiet understanding, though it took him a while to get his head around it.

He hadn't told Jasmine, since it involved her own father.

And he certainly hadn't told the only man it concerned.

I'm not lost I'm not lost just undiscovered.
And when we're alone, we're not the same as each other

Lief strolled happily down the corridor.

"Hey Barda" He said.

You see the look that's on my face
You might think I'm out of place
I'm not Lost, no no, just undiscovered.

When Barda did not reply, Lief glanced round the wall corner.

"Ahh. I see..."

You think I Wanna run and hide

"Look." Said Lief "If your going to do it, now's the best time"

I keep it all locked up insde

Barda still did not answer. Lief sighed and pushed him down the stairs.

Doom looked up.

"Hello Barda"

I just want you to Find me.

Barda did not pause but walked straight up to Doom and kissed him.

I'm not lost, no no just undiscovered.

" Well..." said Doom, letting the kiss linger for a few seconds "I guess it was worth the wait."
