They had fulfilled their obligations and some of them, even their dreams.
They were sucesses., for now.
And come fall they would continue on to graduate programs, or even maybe venture out into the real world, taking over buisnesses, at least begin training to do so, or getting the ir dreams jobs.
This was it.
All that was left was to say goodbye.
Goodbye.
She sighed, and let out a deep breath.
They were finally parting ways.
She would be in New York and he was to fly over to London the next afternoon.
"Get down to buisness." Is what he told her he had to do.
He would have given the company up for her. He knew it immediately never questioning his judgement.
The memory of yesterday flew into her mind.

He was standing at the gate about to head on to the plane when her voice got his attention.
"Well, I expected you to at least say good-bye," she had told him.
Stepping back slightly and turning around he looked her over before talking.
"Oh, yeah, the good-bye scene."
"Tristan," she snarked at him.
"Played that one over a thousand times in my head," he continued on.
"I come to you, heart in hand, and announce my plans. You look at me, pained, but then, of course, the witty sarcasm of yours kicks in and I leave never getting what I came for."
"What is that Tristan?"
"You never ask me to stay. Ever."
And he left it that.
He turned around and then stepped onto the boarding ramp, away from her, possibly forever.
