I have a habit of free-writing short scenes before I have to write something serious (such as a heavily-weighted research paper). They're usually oneshot glimpses into characters I like. This story is one of those. I didn't plan on it being part of a larger story, but lemme know what you think! Maybe I could come up with more.

He fell into those amethyst eyes- they were a mirror. They held the past he wanted to forget; the pain, hardship, the helplessness. But shining through the deep violet was something Soubi couldn't pull away from. He saw strength; an innocent belief in the future.
Ritsuka noticed the lack of movement and sound across the table. Questioningly, he looked up to meet a contentedly entranced sapphire gaze. Turning away a bit with flattened ears, Ritsuka's cheeks became rosy. "Soubi, you don't need to stare at me like that. I need to finish my homework."
"Whatever you say, Ritsuka." With a smile, Soubi crossed the table and sat next to his sacrifice instead.
