"Okay class. Settle down," Mr. Shuester announced while everyone got to their seats. "I know we've had a crazy year…" Finn didn't hear the rest of the sentence because he tuned out. He was thinking about how everything changed over one year.
Finn thought he was a better person after everything. He'd been through death,near death,heartbreak,and sport's drama. At the beginning of the year,he wanted everything to be perfect,and he thought it would be. He was dating Rachel,was hopefully quarterback,and was still co-captain of Glee Club. But then everything fell apart,Sam took quarterback for a while,he broke up with Rachel,and Glee wasn't as fun.
He had tried dating Quinn but that didn't work either. He kind of knew the whole that she was using him,but he didn't care. He just wanted someone to love him,but he couldn't go back to Rachel yet because his heart was still broken. When they finally went to New York for Nationals,Finn had made up his mind that Rachel was the only one for him.
He tried to get her back with a fancy dinner and a moonlight stroll,but it didn't work. When he was standing in the street he finally realized something. He realized that the only way into Rachel's heart is music. He locked himself in his room and wrote. He needed to make sure that it was perfect,the perfect way to express his feelings to Rachel. He showed to Mr. Shuester and he approved it. Now,he just had to make sure that Rachel believed his feelings.
Before they went onstage,they talked. She said that New York was her dream and that no one could keep her from it. They parted ways and stood at their ends of the curtain. When he turned to see her,he smiled. Anything after that was a blur of emotions. He only remembers kissing Rachel and then being home. He knew that tomorrow at school wouldn't be great but he had to deal with it.
After school,he went to go sit in the library. He had his New York snow globe in his hands. He knew he had blew it. About 30 minutes later,Rachel came looking for him. He told her that he loved her and he had to kiss her on that stage. She seemed fine with losing and said that it was worth it to kiss him again also. They kissed one more time before she dragged him off to the Glee club meeting where they were now.
"Finn? Finn?" He pulled himself to back to reality to see that Rachel was tapping him on the shoulder. "Come on Finn! Everyone else has already left!" Had he really zoned out for that long? "My dad's are out of town so the Glee club is coming over for a quick party. And don't worry,it won't be as bad as last time." Finn smiled and grabbed Rachel's hand as led him out of the doors. "Oh because you were daydreaming,you missed it. Quinn and Puck are together again." Finn smiled. Maybe this year did turn out to be perfect.
