NO BETTER WAY TO WAKE UP
She was lying in the bed, her breath still coming in short pants. Her chest was heaving in rapid attempts to refill her lungs with the oxygen that suddenly appeared to have disappeared from the room completely. She could feel the sweat forming all over her skin; at the same time, she could swear she felt cold. Her body would still sporadically shudder, her hips buckling. Every time that happened, she would gasp.
He still hadn't removed his hand. Her left hand was gripping the metal bar of the bed, the nails piercing the skin of her palm borderline painful. The fingers of the other hand were entwined with his, squeezing tightly. He lay completely still, his mouth slightly agape, the warm breath tickling her skin. She met his eyes briefly, but the look in them made her close hers.
Too late.
He moved one of his fingers minutely and her hips buckled violently, colliding with his palm. A loud gasp filled the room. He moved his lips to hover over hers, his steady breathing mixing with her ragged attempts to do the same. He tightened a hand in his as a warning and swallowed her moan in a kiss as he removed his fingers slowly. He moved his hand to rest tightly on her hip, squeezing there gently, making her open her eyes and look at him. He smiled at her before moving his lips and kissing her neck, now covered in sweat.
Both lie still for several minutes, until he moved his hand from her hip and slowly loosened her grip on the metal behind their heads. He brought her palm to his lips, kissing now almost bloody skin lovingly. A small smile formed on her sated face as she put her hand around his neck, bringing him even closer and taking a deep breath.
"Thank you," - she breathed quietly into his ear, before kissing his cheek.
There was no better way to wake up.
- THE END -
