A/N- So we've had this one written in a noetbook for awhile. I (Brennah) have just forgotten to type it despite Alison always telling me to. But now I have about 20 minutes of free time in English, so I'm typing now xD Hope you enjoy!

Thermal Image

It was nearly dark by the time they realized what time it was. The two of them were hanging out, watching a movie, and letting the time pass freely.

Tomorrow the team was planning to go on a sweep if the weather was nice. Lately it had been raining off and on, turning the ground into a muddy mess. Usually they would be outside on a nice walk, but the precipitation had confined them to the comforts of the house.

Since they were already at Riley's, it was their turn to check all the equipment. To make sure that their gear was working and that it was all charged. Without their equipment, it was hard to catch evidence of the paranormal.

Hopefully, everything would go as planned and they wouldn't run into problems.

KC was playing with a new piece of equipment Zack had just introduced to them while Riley was fiddling with the thermal camera to see if there was a logical reason why it kept turning off during sweeps.

He had been panning across the room while turning a dial. The room was being shown in different shades of blues and greens. When KC came into view, a bright red figure illuminated the center of the room.

"Whoa," he said, "You're hot."

Her head immediately snapped up, facing Riley. "Um... excuse me?"

His face was now as bright as KC's image on the camera. He didn't mean to blurt that out. It was true, though. According to the thermal image, she was hotter than everything in the room. But there was a little voice in the back of his mind telling him that that wasn't the only definition of "hot" that could be used to describe her.

He didn't want to turn away, that would just confirm things. "The camera? It says you're hotter than everything else in the room."

She had started to blush when he said it the second time. He was wavering the second time, so she didn't know whether or not to believe him. "Uh huh Riley."

"No really, you're really hot!" He wanted to smack himself as the words came out once again.

"Okay, I get it. You'd probably look hot if I pointed the camera at you, too." This time she was the one mentally kicking herself. This whole conversation was insanely awkward and she was just making worse.

"Right. We're both hot... in the thermal camera." He said, turning it off. The longer the piece of equipment was off, the easier it would be for them to get off the subject... if it was possible for them to get out of this situation.

"Yeah! Cause, you know, that's what it's for. To locate the temperature of things..." Both of them knew they were getting nowhere.

"Yepp. So, I guess that makes both of us really hot."

"I guess so."

She didn't know why the words came out, but they did. Either way, he was saying things just as awkward as she was. So she guessed that it was equal the idiotness. She decided this was the time to change the subject.

"So, um, this new camera Zack got..."
