Perfect Wind

Summary: Sasuke and Naruto are on a mission together and Sasuke starts to notice things about Naruto he never thought about before. Short and Sweet Sasunaru.

Author's Note: I do not own Naruto. Also thank you to everyone that has commented or added my story "I Hate Sweet Things" (Check it out if you haven't read it. It's another Sasunaru). This is a one-shot and that is how it will stay. Please Review :)

It was such a peaceful moment.

Not very common in my experiences.

The forest was quiet except for the warm breeze drifting through the trees.

After traveling most of the morning Naruto and I decided to take a break.

We were in no hurry to get back to the stress of being a ninja.

Right now we were in our own little world and I rather liked it that way.

I leaned my head against the oak tree behind me.

Neither one of us spoke and for awhile I wondered what was wrong with Naruto.

It wasn't common for him to be so quiet.

That was when I heard him snoring softly.

I rolled my eyes and shifted my weight which caused Naruto's head to fall into my lap.

Sure my initial reaction should have been to push him off, but for some reason I didn't want to.

Instead I gaze down at him curiously.

In that moment I started to notice things about Naruto I've never noticed before.

Tentatively I ran my fingers through Naruto's light blonde hair.

It was so soft.

For a second I tensed wondering if I woke him up, but he didn't show any sign of it.

His skin was a nice tan.

It seemed like very warm color.

Subconsciously I ran my fingers across the faint lines on his face.

Before I realized what I was doing I leaned down and kissed him softly on the lips.

Crystal blue eyes opened and stared up at me.

Quickly I sat up and looked away, blushing in embarrassment.

I heard him sit up and I waited for him to start shouting at me.

In the end it was quite the opposite.

Naruto gently grabbed my chin so that I was facing him, then as he caressed my cheek he kissed me softly.

In that moment I knew no words were needed to be said.

"I love you." could have been the wind.

Quiet as it surrounds us.

In this silent peace we found our feelings for each other and I couldn't have been happier.
