Summary: There is a reason why Danny doesn't care just how much Nicholas is better at most things then him.

Danny wasn't a stupid man. He was acutely aware of what his skills looked like in comparison with Nicholas Angel.

He knew he'd never be as good a shot. Nicholas was amazing, it wouldn't matter how much he practiced, Nicholas would always be that much better.

He knew he was no match for Nicholas in the physical fitness arena. His love of Cornettos and other sweat foods would always be his downfall; his beer intake wasn't helping him lose any pounds either. Besides, Danny highly doubted he could get up early enough in the morning to go running.

Then there were the leadership qualities. Nicholas could take charge of a situation like no other, and the other officers would actually listen to him. Whenever Danny tried to give out any orders, the only response he'd be likely to get was a waste basket to the head courtesy of one of the Andes.

While Nicholas was viewed by the townspeople as a talented officer, as Sandford's hero, Danny would always be the adorable sidekick, the puppy dog follower, never able to raise himself from that position.

But Danny didn't care that he wasn't a bad-ass like Nicholas, and he figured he had a pretty good reason too. Because Danny knew something that no one else in Sandford did, had information that no one else was privy to.

Danny didn't care that he wasn't as good as Nicholas in most things. Whenever the Andes would make fun of him, or he'd be left feeling inadequate at all, there was only one little fact Danny had to remind himself of. That Nicholas bottomed every time.

That Nicholas would not only bottom, but more often then not, Danny could have him begging for it, was always an ego boost. The fact that he could reduce the proper, stiff man into a pleading, moaning mess, never failed to make Danny feel better. The fact that it was him, and him alone who could make Nicholas spread his legs and beg to be taken, made enduring the Andes' comments worthwhile.

Danny didn't care that he wasn't as good as Nicholas in most things. He was better then Nicholas at the one point that really mattered. Danny was better then Nicholas at control over his emotions. Danny was able to shatter that control, to be able to see the completely unguarded, loose side of Nicholas Angel, which only he ever got to see, which made all other comparisons a moot point.
