Liv's voice echoed around her apartment in a hushed, bell like tone.
She looked up at the top of the tree, that was feet to high for her to reach and pursed her lips as she placed a ornament on one of the branches.
" Noel, Noel, Noel…Noel." she continued, and reached over to grab a snowman.
Suddenly, a presence was behind her and she inhaled a little, startled as she turned around.
"Ravi…" she chuckled, and looked up at the tall man.
He was dressed in a dark colored sweater, looking especially dapper without his lab-coat, and his black hair was covered in snow.
"Born is the King of Israel." Ravi sang with a smirk on his face.
"You came." Liv said with a smile, her eyes glimmering.
"You thought I was going to let you be alone on Christmas Eve?" he asked her, and took the snowman from her hands.
Liv bit her lower lip and stayed silent, running her fingers along the side of his hand.
Ravi leaded down, with his face an inch from hers and raised an eyebrow, as though he was waiting for her to decide what came next.
If she hadn't been dead for all intensive purposes, she might have blushed.
Liv leaned upwards on her toes just a tad and removed the inch of space between their faces. Their lips pressed together, his were hot against hers, something she enjoyed more than she'd admit.
His breath brushed against her lips as he pulled away far to soon and she looked up at him with doe eyes.
"Did you know, contrary to popular belief, suicide rates during the Christmas holiday are low? The highest rates are during the spring." He asked her and she exhaled with a shake of her head.
"I did not, but thank you for telling me." Liv patted him on the cheek and turned around to continue decorating the tree.
Ravi rolled his sleeves up and hung the snowman on the tree, grabbing a few more ornaments and helping her.
"It's weird, celebrating Christmas." she sighed after a moment.
"Why is that?" he inquired, tilting his head to the side.
Liv looked to the side a little, "Well, I'm a zombie, for one... Secondly, Christmas used to be a showing of everything that happened in the year, and growing older."
"Now.. I don't know what it stands for really."
Ravi pursed his lips, touching the side of her face.
"Yes, you are a zombie. But that doesn't matter, if Christmas used to be a milestone for you, it's still a milestone, Liv. Things are still happening, you're solving murders, beating the criminals." he said with a smile, that smile that made every inch of her mushy.
"And you?" Liv asked.
"Are you happy with how life is going?"
He took the ornament that she was holding out of her hand, and set it back in the box; then stepped over to her, and placed his hands on her waist.
"Olivia Moore, are you doubting I'm happy with you?" he asked her, raising his eyebrows.
"No... well, maybe." she replied, looking embarrassed.
Ravi pulled her closer and removed one of his hands from her waist to caress the side of her face.
"I am happy; I've been happy since the second I met you." he whispered, and watched her smile reform.
"I'm happy too." Liv assured him, closing her eyes as he kissed her forehead.
He backed away, grabbing her hand and pulling her slowly away from the Christmas tree.
"Alright, let's get some eggnog in you." he chuckled and she rolled her eyes.
"May as well." Liv smiled and followed him into the kitchen.
Ravi pulled it out of the fridge and pulled to glasses from the cabinet.
"Lucky for us, we haven't been called in to cut open Santa." he teased and she leaned against the counters on her elbows.
"Don't jinx it." she smiled.
He winked at her and poured the eggnog.
"Me, jinx?" Ravi stood beside her, sliding her glass over to her.
Liv leaned her head against his shoulder.
"Merry Christmas." she whispered, looking up at him as she took a drink, although it was mostly flavorless.
"Merry Christmas, baby."
