AUTHORS NOTE
Just a quick glimpse into the home life of Cassie and how far our favorite team are prepared to go in order to keep her happy.
Disclaimer: I do not (and unfortunately will never) own Stargate, I merely play with the wonderful characters they have created.
Janet smiled at the scene in front of her and wondered if anyone at the base would ever believe her if she told them. It was a well known fact among the SGC personnel that SG-1 had a soft spot for the young alien girl Cassandra that the doctor had willingly invited into her home and adopted.
What wasn't quite so well known, was how far the entire team would go to keep the child amused. Cassandra Frasier, however, knew exactly how to get what she wanted, when she wanted it from her 'uncles' and she knew full well that Sam (who could be as strict as her mum was) could be persuaded to join in by her favorite archaeologist or ordered to by Jack.
Cassie had decided to host a tea party, with Jack, Daniel, Teal'c and Sam as honored guests. But, in order to attend the party, Cassie had decided that they needed to look their best and had given all four team members a make over.
Jack was sporting a tea towel wrapped around his head like a turban and what looked suspiciously like Sam's favorite shade of lipstick on. Cassie had also managed to find a bright pink feather boa (Janet's mind boggled as to where that had appeared from) which Jack now wore draped around his shoulders.
Sam appeared relatively unscathed compared to the rest of the team members, wearing a rather unattractive hat with paper flowers stuck haphazardly to the brim and a child's beaded necklace that graced her neck could just about be seen as Sam had turned up the collar of her shirt in what appeared to be an attempt to hide it as much as possible.
Cassie had found a floral print apron, a red handbag and a pair of heels for Daniel to wear, all of which the man seemed to be taking in his stride as he sat at the table, legs crossed and holding his tea cup with his little finger sticking up. For some reason it didn't surprise Janet at all that Daniel looked perfectly comfortable and she quickly turned her attention to Teal'c, not wanting to ponder the reasons why he looked so at ease for too long.
Teal'c, Janet could see, had clearly suffered more than the rest of the team had and she made a mental note to talk to her daughter about it after the guys had left for the night. Teal'c had managed to escape wearing female clothing, shoes or accessories but only because Cassie had decided that Teal'c would make a perfect dog. And because indulging Cassie was one of Teal'c's favorite earthbound activities (next to watching Star Wars) he was currently on all fours, tongue hanging out and occasionally making a 'woof'.
Janet smiled and decided to retreat from the room before any of the occupants noticed that she was back from shopping and tried to make her join in. But one thing was for certain – Janet would be going through her daughter's dress-up box with a fine tooth comb and banning all her staff from donating further items to the 'treasure-chest' as Cassie called it, without showing all items to Janet first for approval.
