One by one they deserted him, until he was the last one left.
First it was Corrie. She got taken away, and in the end, she never came back.
Second it was Chris. He wasted what little time he had, so that when the end came, there was no one to mourn his death.
Next it was Robyn. She swore she wouldn't, but in the end she gave in and killed just like everyone else, until she was killed herself.
After that was Kevin. He was so scared, that even when it was over, he couldn't face the memories.
Then it was Fi. She was so beautiful, so perfect, that she didn't belong in the chaos of war.
Next was Lee. He had a responsibility, so when he left, it wasn't his fault.
And last, it was Ellie. She was, in the end, the only one who I thought would stay with me, but she didn't.
