Ron looked on as she stormed out of the common room, a heavy book under her arm. Harry looked at him purposely.

"That's the 10th argument you've had since Saturday!" Harry told Ron. "And today is Monday!"

Ron looked embarrassed.

"It was her fault!" he yelled and he too stomped off, out the common room. He threw himself on his bed and thought of Hermione, how he hated her and how he loved her.

I tried to discover a little something to make me sweeter

Oh baby refrain from breaking my heart

I'm so in love with you

I'll be forever blue

He and Hermione had been friends for about 5 years now. They had had more than their fair share of ups and downs. It was a lot like their friendship was a roller coaster ride.

He looked at her and Harry's friendship, sturdy, well built and full of trust. She didn't trust him. Not in the same way.

That you give me no reason, you know you're making me work so hard

That you give me no . . . Soul

He groaned. He could see her face in his mind. She was smiling and laughing, at her best.

'She has such a pretty smile.' Ron thought, himself smiling insanely at the thought.

But what ever he tried, no matter what he did, she still found fault.

I hear you calling

Oh baby please give a little respect to me.

But they had some good times. Watching Harry play Quidditch, they sat together at the back of the stands, with their friends, laughing, joking cheering on Harry, hugging everyone and clapping when Harry caught the snitch and Gryffindor had won.

They had saved each other's lives, they depended on each other. They needed each other.

And if I should falter, would you open your arms out to me?

We can make love not war, and live in peace with our hearts

He had nearly told her how he felt. That he loved her, liked her and hated her. She was mad, hell, she made a raging hippogriff look like a white rabbit with the word BOO painted on its nose.

It was after the Yule ball in their fourth year. He was mad at her date, Viktor Krum the world famous, Bulgarian Quidditch player, because, well, he took her to the ball.

I'm so in love with you, I'll be forever blue

What religion or reason could drive a man to forsake his lover?

Don't you tell me no. . . Soul.

I hear you calling

Oh baby please, give a little respect to me.

But, they argued. They bickered. They had blazing rows in public. They had blazing rows in private. Whatever either one of them did, the other nearly always found fault.

Ron bashed his pillow. Why was it so hard to hate, like and love someone at the same time?

I'm so in love with you

I'll be forever blue

That you give me no reason

You know you're making me work so hard

That you give me no. Soul.

I hear you calling.

Oh baby, please give a little respect to me.

Oh baby, please give a little respect to me.

The song 'A Little Respect' belongs to Wheatus. JK owns Harry, Hermione and Ron. I own a fluffy Hedwig.
