Ice On The Lake

It was getting colder, Remus noted with a shiver as he wrapped a warm cloak around himself. Not that he cared much, because nothing was going to stop him from enjoying the greatest day of the year. February 14th wasn't just Valentine's Day. It was also the day of he and Sirius's one year anniversary. That meant the day would be extra special, and a bit of snow had never stopped Remus before.

He knocked on the door of Sirius's house, and waited.

"Hi, Moony!" Sirius exclaimed as he flung the door open and threw himself into his lover's embrace.

"Oh, Padfoot, it's only been 24 hours," Remus chuckled good-naturedly as he hugged the man back.

"Are you kidding me? I missed you after the first 3 seconds," Sirius replied, still smiling at Remus.

They shared in a passionate kiss.

"Are you ready?" Sirius asked after they'd pulled away.

"Yes, I'm dying to know what this surprise of yours is," Remus replied with anticipation.

"Come on then, we're apparating!" Sirius exclaimed, and with that, he grabbed Remus's hand and they disappeared with a loud POP!

They ended up on an icy, frozen pond.

"I remember you saying you'd always wanted to learn how to ice skate," Sirius blushed, looking down.

"S-Sirius! Oh, Sirius, you're amazing!" Remus hugged his lover tightly.

The two spent hours skating on the pond before it finally began to get dark.

"We're staying at the Leaky Cauldron," Sirius said, blowing on his nose in an attempt to keep warm.

"Oh, Sirius, you didn't have to go through all this trouble-"

"Trouble?" Sirius snorted. "Remus, I knew I'd make you happy doing this; it wasn't troublesome in the least."

"I got you something as well," Remus said, waving his wand. Instantly, a rose appeared in his hand, and he held it out to his lover. "Happy Valentine's Day and one year anniversary, Sirius."

"Happy Valentine's Day and one year anniversary to you too, Remus," Sirius replied, and they shared in another long kiss before apparating to the Leaky Cauldron.

It truly had been the best day Remus had ever had
