Castiel was never social. People treated him different and it was unnerving. Besides, he had books and that was all he needed. That is ...until he moved to Ellinwood High School in Kansas
He stood at the door to the high school but couldn't bring himself to walk in it, he wanted this school to be different. Maybe I'll talk to someone here, he thought. But after taking one look at the students entering the building, he decided against that. After a few minutes he got confused stares so he willed himself to open the door. Being himself, he pushed the door instead of pulled and ended up looking incredibly foolish. "you'd think with all the books you're holding you'd be able to read the pull sign" Castiel turned. "I guess I'm just not that ..." he trailed off when he saw the other mans eyes. They were a breathtaking and vibrant green. He had a nice jaw line and his face was adorably freckled . He was smiling , and Castiel noticed when he did smile he had crows feet . which made him all the more adorable and handsome at the same time . " Observant" he finally breathed out. " First day here?" the man asked opening the door for the man. " yes, though I hope it's my last" this earned him a light chuckle. Castiel silently followed the green eyed man , not exactly sure where he was going. "Hey where's your first class" He asked stopping at one of the lockers and opening it. "history with .. " " Awesome, me too." he shot him another award winning smile. " I'll show you where it is." when green eyes walked in front of him, Castiel took notice of the other mans behind, though he would never admit it if you caught him . When they entered the classroom, green eyes took a seat in the back. Castiel handed his note to the teacher, who almost gasped when I read it . "uh, Mr. Novak, please take the seat next to Dean. And if you need anything, and I mean ANYTHING, let me know. The classroom grew silent . Here we go again. Castiel internally sighed and made his way to his seat. Green eyes, or Dean apparently, gaped at hi, when he sat next to him . " You're a Novak?!" Castiel ignored him. This will be a long day.
