I want to pre-apologize for the way I write this. It is in script form.
Summery: Major Sheppared amd his team along with Dr. Weir are going to a planet that they have signed an alliance with. They are going to a gathering on this other planet (Hairdon) in their honer. But not all of the people on the planet agree with the alliance.
Starts out the afternoon before the party. They are all getting ready.
Rodney is running from his room down the corridor and then up the Atlantis entry-way stares, he then turns to run up the next flight of stares but instead runs into Elizabeth.
Rodney: Ohhoopp! Sorry Elizabeth!
Elizabeth: Thats quite aright Rodney. Why the big rush?
Rodney: We have that thing tonight, Remember?
Elizabeth: Rodney, that is not for another 3 hours. You still have plenty of time to become all pretty for the ladies.
Rodney: Oh very funny Elizabeth. As a matter of fact...
(He is interrupted by John who, while walking down the hall with Tayla, starts talking to Elizabeth)
John: Hey Elizabeth, do we need to bring any thing to this party? Iha don't mean to brag or anything, but I make a mean chip and dip.
Elizabeth: As good as that sounds John I don't believe that they will need it. They looked like they had plenty of food.
John: Damn, I was so looking forward to it.
Tayla: I don't mean to be a burden or anything, but what is this food you call "chip and dip"?
John: Well... it's... some chips ... and ... then ... some... dip.
Tayla: I see.
(She does not look the least bit convinced, but lets them go onto the next subject anyway)
Rodney: Well I hate to break up this fun little moment we are having, but I need to get ready.
Elizabeth: Well, yes I should head that way as well.
Rodney: Wait, you said yourself that it was too early to get ready, but now you think that it is ok?
Elizabeth: For a man, getting ready this early is odd. But for a women it is perfectly normal.
John: Hey that's unfair. A man can take get just as much time to get ready as a women.
Tayla: John, even in my culture a women takes longer to get ready for an occasion than a man.
Elizabeth: No Tayla, John is right. It is not my place to decide when Rodney should start to get ready. He is an over-achiever after all.
Rodney: Hey just because I like things done on time...
(John interrupts him again)
John: That is quite ok. McKay just go and get ready.
Rodney: Fine.
(He storms off in the direction that he had been heading in)
Elizabeth: Don't forget to dress nicely. This is in our Honor.
John: I make sure to ware my best uniform.
(This is said in utter sarcasm)
Elizabeth: Wern't you lisining earlier, you will not have to ware your uniform tonight. Formal dress though.
John: Well then my best tux.
Elizabeth: If you have one.
(As Tayla and John head off to their rooms, Tayla askes John what a tux is. He stumbles for the answer and finaly says "Here, I will just show you")
(The camera follows Elizabeth up to her office. She goes in and shuffles some papers around looking for something, when Dr. Beckett enters with what looks like a suit in his arms.)
Carson: When you said to dress formaly, did you mean a tux or just a suit. because I only have a suit. I did not know that we would be going any where that formal when I packed.
Elizabeth: No Carson, a suit is just fine. I think that John will be the only one in a tux.
Carson: Well that's good to know. But is he going to cut that hair of 'is? It's kinda gett'n out of 'and.
Elizabeth: I do not know you are going to have to ask him.
