And then I met you...

Sherlock couldn't believe it. He was forced to work as volunteer two hours to five times a week for two months in this private hospital because Mycroft was interfered. The prison would have been better. Though Mycroft had a point, he would be killed in three days in jail if he would go there because he had sent several murders in there. Not good then. So, the community service then. He can handle this. Yes. Sure. What ever. Damn.

"Then there is John." The nurse who was guiding him around said continuing her all going speaking and they stopped. "He's in catatonic state. He eat if we feed him, he walks if we escort him forward though we usually use wheelchair because his leg, but, nothing else. We don't know if he actually hears us."

Sherlock watched the blond man, maybe two three years older than him, just sitting there, edge of his bed.

"What happened to him?" Sherlock tried to sound interest. The nurse's smile was sad when he looked at John, her voice more tender than before.

"A war happened. He came back from Afghanistan, badly wounded, and two weeks after that his wife died at a car accident. That's it. It was enough. All that sent him over the edge. There's a sister who never come but pays this whole thing. There is his ex-sister-in-law who comes sometimes."

Sherlock studied more carefully the man now. "How long he had been here?"

"Almost six months."

That was long time to just be.

"No friends?" Normally, people had a lot of friends but the nurse shrugged.

"One, he had been here couple of time. But he's in army so he can't come often. I think he miss someone who talk to him." The nurse smiled at him and Sherlock nodded. He understood what the nurse wanted. He could handle that. Speaking.

"That's it?"

"If you want. There is lot more to do if…" Nurse looked around.

"John is fine." John would listen, not answering or arguing back. Sherlock wasn't so keen to socialize around.

"I heard that you play violin." The nurse suddenly said. Damn Mycroft.

"You can play sometimes if you want. Sometimes someone plays piano or guitar. It would be lovely to hear more music in here. But, I have to go. If you have something…"

"Yes yes yes." Sherlock stepped inside the room and walked to see through the window. Then he spun around and eyed John, whose blue eyes stared for nothingness.

"So, do you want to know how stupid people are in that so called Scotland Yard?"
